Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.
The Ides of June has shaped its sound by combining the tastes and styles of its member's four distinct backgrounds.
With rock solid percussion stemming from that So-Cal/Grunge scene (and just a taste of west coast hip hop) meshed with the heavy, psychedelic riffs indicative of 90s grunge and modern stoner rock you get just half of the sound. Throw in some traditional blues melded with newer blues/rock guitar solos and the thunderous blues rock bass lines (occasionally thickened by fuzz that would make Chris Wolstenholme proud) and you get the completed grunge blues sound that is The Ides of June.

The Strips began their rock n' roll career in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 2013 where they came together due to their love of music and incredibly cold winters, which allowed them to spend hours fine tuning their sound. Starting out as a three piece band which included Trey Sharpe on rhythm guitar and vocals, Steven Greenfield on lead guitar, and John "The Panda" Nichols on the drums. In the summer of 2014, The Strips became a four piece with the addition of Billy Hettler on bass and keyboards. Stolen Thunder is a four-piece alternative rock band formed in Santa Barbara, California, in 2011. Early influences range from Queen to Metallica to Alice in Chains.

From blistering renditions of blues-infused rock to sublime vintage blues, and everything in between, Ryder Green captivates audiences with his virtuoso guitar and passion for playing. His distinctive tone, infectious original songs and vocals, and attention-grabbing covers ignite crowds of all ages.
He can deliver a stunningly raw emotional blues solo, or a hard-driving rendition of Freddie King’s “Going Down” that has become a signature number for him. Unleashing masterful journeys up and down the neck reminiscent of those that have come before him, he is yet unquestioningly playing from his own heart and soul. In the zone on stage, all eyes and ears become riveted.
Highly intuitive and perceptive, he loves playing off the energy of other musicians. Bringing a turbo-boosted “old soul” vibe to the stage, he’s known for outstanding improvisational skills on the fly.

Georgia-based BJ Wilbanks's authentic exploration of love and the pursuit of enlightenment has been referred to as “Back Porch Soul,” fusing the musical roots of Americana, Motown and Delta Blues into an intoxicating blend of Southern Rock.
BJ's solo work explores the intimate, raw, emotional feeling of the gospel, blues, and 70s rock he was raised on as a child. BJ has also been enjoying regional popularity with his band, Gibson Wilbanks, who have opened for artists like Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, and Diane Durrett.
BJ’s gregarious personality is palpable on record, often channeling other charismatic musical personalities like Otis Redding, Sturgill Simpson and current retro revivalists like Leon Bridges. His self-titled album, BJ Wilbanks (released April 28th) captures the refined analogue production qualities of yesteryear, complete with swampy southern bass and Stax-inspired horn sections. It is of a reminiscent of bygone era when music was so good, it transcended genre.
“The best music brings the most unlikely people together,” BJ asserts. “It's music from the soul.”
Three-time San Diego Music Award winner Low Volts is giving the music world a much needed shock to the heart with his fuzzed-out, one-man, dirty blues-rock n’ roll performances. Armed with only a gritty old slide-guitar, thunderous kick drum laden with tambourines and dark, howling vocals, Low Volts creates a thick and heavy sound equivalent to the force of a four-piece band. Great-grandson of a traveling gospel singer who was framed for murder and sentenced to the ELECTRIC CHAIR, Low Volts would not exist today if it wasn’t for a key witness that helped pardon his distant kin in the final hours of his uncertain fate. Doc wrote and published a book about his story titled 'Up From The Depths' "The Miracle that saved me from the electric chair". This is the story that inspired the stage moniker 'LOW VOLTS'.
