Worchester Music Awards Nomination

Hey guys! Here we are in 2019! How does it feel?

We have some great opportunity here to be nominated at our local Worchester Music Awards... with your help!

First and foremost, vote for Adam Soucy to win the "Sexiest Musician" nomination!

And if you're already there, put Major Moment into the "Best Rock Act" & "Best Up and Comers Act", as well as "one small stEP by Major Moment" for the "Best CD" and "Leave Out All The Rest by Major Moment" for the "Best Cover Art".

Just a suggestion...

About Major Moment

Major Moment is a compelling and creative rock band based in Boston, Massachusetts that blends alternative rock, international influences, and deep-seated lyrics into a sound meant to inspire and encourage listeners in their own lives. The band has a new EP, one small stEP, that puts its kinetic, intelligent tracks on display and shows that Major Moment has the power to reach a global audience. Fan response to the new record has been extremely positive, as have been published reviews. The band is influenced by Linkin Park and Nine Inch Nails but holds its own when it comes to songwriting and never imitates.

The current lineup has come together from around the world to make this music. Vocalist/Guitarist Andrey Borzykin is originally from Russia, he met vocalist Alexandra 'Sasha' Razumova and drummer Adam Soucy in the USA and discovered how strong they were as a unit. Each member brings a different culture and set of experiences to the group and this is what sets Major Moment apart from the cookie-cutter rock with which the modern scene is overrun.

In addition to music, Major Moment is very active in issues including mental health, depression, and substance abuse. "one small stEP" is dedicated to Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who took his own life due to depression, and the band has also released a tribute single to Bennington, “Leave Out All The Rest,” which was acknowledged and retweeted by Chester’s sister Tobi Bennington and by members of Grey Daze, his first band. All profits from the track are being donated to 320 Changes Direction, a non-profit organization fighting mental health stigma and helping those battling with depression and substance abuse. In addition to that, the band is planning to release their first music video of this song in the near future. Members of Major Moment performed at Chester memorial events in both St. Petersburg, Russia and in Boston on July 20th, 2018. The band also played at the All Night Thing III, a charity event in New Hampshire that raised $20,000 for Child and Family Services and NAMI of New Hampshire, as well as at the globally known Sofar Sounds event and other local shows in Boston. This winter Major Moment will perform at the 2019 NAMM show in LA.

Major Moment is a band whose time is coming quickly and "one small stEP" is expected to do much to increase its visibility and brand internationally. To keep the steady pace, the group has already recorded 4 new singles, that are going to be released in early 2019. Major Moment packs that seldom-seen combination of substance and sound that instantly turns listeners into fans and those around the group feel big things are imminent.

We’re super-excited to announce that we were selected to play an opening night of NAMM Show in California. It’s a great honor to be a part of it, and we’re working hard to make this night a very special one, including a premiere of brand new songs, and featuring our good friend Mike Kerr on guitar. We’ll be kicking off 2019 with a bang! Stay tuned for updates, more news, and if you live in LA area, we hope to see you there!??

Who is NAMM?

NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), established in 1901, is the not-for-profit association that strengthens the $17 billion global music, sound and event technology products industry. Our association and our trade shows serve as the crossroads for professionals wanting to seek out the newest innovations in music, recording technology, sound, stage and lighting products. Membership also includes access to the latest industry news and education, opportunities for music advocacy and cost-saving programs that will help your business thrive. All of these activities and programs are designed to promote music making for people of all ages and to help create a more musical world.

The Model for Industry Growth — The History

Before there was an industry or an association, there was a belief...in music. That belief led to a vision: We envision a world in which the joy of making music is a precious element of daily living for everyone; a world in which every child has a deep desire to learn music and a recognized right to be taught; and in which every adult is a passionate champion and defender of the right. That vision led to a mission: To strengthen the music products industry and promote the pleasures and benefits of making music.

More than a century later, that vision and mission have attracted a growing, thriving worldwide community of thousands of deeply passionate, talented companies that make, buy and sell the instruments that allow millions of people to make music. That community is called NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry.

NAMM's biannual trade event that brings members of the musical products industry together to network and conduct business for the year ahead.

NAMM trade shows are produced annually by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). The NAMM Show in Anaheim is a trade-only event that draws more than 95,000 members of the music products industry. Summer NAMM is held in Nashville.

Vote for Major Moment on Boston Emissions

Boston Emissions: December 13, 2018

New music from Batons, Major Moment, Hallelujah The Hills, Yoni Gordon, Eddie Japan, Love Love, Dirty Dixx, Baabes | Boston Emissions 12/13

Vote for Major Moment here.

About Boston Emissions

Boston Emissions began airing on 104.1 WBCN some time in the 1980s (reportedly 1987, according to Carter Alan’s book about WBCN). Throughout that time, the show was instrumental in introducing and establishing thousands of bands from around Boston and New England. The mission of the show has always been to expose and support independent bands and artists of varying rock styles from the region. Anngelle Wood became host in 2008. In 2009, upon the demise of the rock radio behemoth WBCN, Boston Emissions moved dial position to 100.7 WZLX where the show aired until May of 2018. In September of the same year, host Anngelle Wood took the show entirely online where she programs the show, live streams, hosts events, shows, and studio sessions in the community. With a focus on new music discovery, the annual Rumble takes place over nine nights each spring.
