The Brothers Footman

Every once in a great while the stars align to bring together an abundance of talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence; such is the case with Dikembe, Gerald, Micah, and Joshua Footman. Their breakout hit Clear Country Sky seems to have struck the right chords and challenges musical barriers that dictate they be boxed into a particular sound or genre of music.  From the initial rifts of the acoustic guitar you get the sense that Country Sky will be an instant classic. Add to that the unique and blended harmonies of the brothers and before you know it you’re hooked by the catchy, addictive lyrics.

In 2017 The Brothers Footman signed a record label deal with Victory Music Buzz, LLC.

Celeste Buckingham

By the age of 17, Celeste Buckingham had already conquered the European music scene. Born in Switzerland to a Swiss-American family, she rose to international recognition on the program SuperStar, indisputably solidifying her status as a pop star in Eastern Europe along the way. Her 2012 full-length debut, Don’t Look Back [EMI Czech Republic], yielded the Top 10 single “Run Run Run”, which even garnered the honor of “Best Czech & Slovak Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards. However, in 2013, Celeste officially arrived in the United States, immediately turning heads as she commenced her next conquest.

STEREOFEET

StereoFeet is an American rock band formed in Chattanooga, Tennessee by Chris Graham and Leon Walker. StereoFeet is a band concerned with making quality rock'n'roll that first draws in listeners with a passionate, melodically hard-rocking sound, and gets them to do some soul searching while they're there. Lyrically, their themes of universal struggles, hope in adversity, self-examination, and striving for goodness, are issues everyone can relate to and receive encouragement from. Neither trendy nor antiquated in style, the band aims for music with no expiration date. This is a serious and hard-driving band, but they have their softer side with some subtler, bittersweet acoustic elements interspersed. The conviction and commitment inspiring StereoFeet is strikingly apparent in their intense, energetic live shows. They consistently pour out everything they have onstage when they perform.

Indigo Reign

Indigo Reign was formed in early 2015, and since then has recorded two EPs and a single and has performed widely across South Africa. Their music has been played on radio stations across South Africa and internationally.
In October 2015 the band recorded an EP: Could You Be? The EP features three tracks, all written by Indigo. In December 2015, they completed a tour of the Eastern Cape to promote the CD, to excellent reception from audiences. Could You Be? was on the charts at Wild Coast FM for over two months, reaching number 4.
The songs are a reflection on some of the darker times in Indigo’s life and an exploration of love and loss, not least the loss of his close friend and bass player, Dean Michael, who died tragically in 2013.

Paragon

Blending melodic forcefulness with harmonious arrangements, the synergy that defines the group’s esoteric sound is driven by alternative piano rock with a modern edge. First and foremost however, before attempting to put a label on the group’s unique sense of aesthetics, Evine strives to create epic and unforgettable melodies that are bound to leave an impression even with the most jaded listener.

Victor Spoils

FORMED IN LATE 2014, VICTOR SPOILS BRINGS TOGETHER THE TALENTS OF JOSH NEUGEBAUER (VOCALS, GUITAR, KEYS), AARON ELLIS (GUITAR, VOCALS), NICK FEDERINKO (GUITAR, VOCALS), DOUG LEE (BASS, VOCALS) AND DAN NEWMAN (DRUMS). THE SPOILS LINEUP IS HERE TO BRING YOU MORE THAN JUST YOUR AVERAGE ROCK SHOW…THEIR UNIQUE BLEND OF VOCAL MELODY WITH PURE ROCK ENERGY WILL LEAVE YOU WANTING MORE.

Joel Cross

Joel grew up singing gospel songs with his seven siblings. His heartfelt approach showcased his ability to make each piece sound new, truly a sound all his own. One afternoon, while playing the Dallas Arboretum, Joel decided to appease the crowd’s unconventional request for a song by Taylor Swift. A fan happened to catch his very soulful rendition of “Shake it Off” on video and uploaded it to YouTube. By the next morning, it had over half a million views, and Joel’s face was on every major news source in Dallas. The viral video quickly catapulted his career as he captured the attention of fans across the globe, including Ellen DeGeneres, America’s Got Talent, Capitol Records, Time, and MTV. Four-time Grammy award-winning artist, India Arie, was also intrigued by Joel when she heard one of his original songs, “Candlelight,” and invited him to collaborate with her on her upcoming album.

Mark of 1000 Evils

After being bereft of band-related shenanigans for a while, Dan & Jeff met over ballet lessons and set about making some noise... Bringing Andy in through a mistaken Russian Bride order over the web.

Le Folli Arie

Le Folli Arie become a reality in 2012. The band is made of four musicians living in Milan that have a huge live experience. They all have worked in various musical projects and share a common love for music from the 70's (Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, PFM, Banco di Mutuo Soccorso, Area,...). They have also been influenced by grunge, pop, latin, funk, jazz, heavy metal. The clash and melt of all these musical influences gave birth to Le Folli Arie's unique style.
The process of making the band sound whole and unique required 2 years of labor-intensive work..
Once you listen throughout the album you can perceive the binding that gathers the 13 tracks together.
The listener is able to experience many extremely different atmospheres and emotional episodes and to appreciate a deep sense of coherence throughout the entire listening experience.
That's why defining Le Folli Arie's style is not a simple task: it could be prog music dressed as pop or the exact opposite.

Today we have for you these super bands and artists!

ZUBIRA

ZUBIRA is a gifted and versatile vocalist and a skilled blues infused rock guitarist who mostly plays his own original material. He is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He released his first International Album on 30 November, 2017 titled: "Like Never Before".

Indie Rock Band Zubira just released a new album titled, "Like Never Before." Zubira did an amazing job of integrating modern sounds melodies and into their music. The lead vocals are amazing and the band sounds perfect together. It's hard to define Zubira's music as one genre. They do a great job at putting together instruments that I have never heard together on a song, and they still fit so well. These guys are very creative, innovative and really put together a unique album with "Like Never Before.

Jaayns

Leeds based singer/songwriter - alternative artist. Jaayns wrote and recorded her Debut EP in 2016 - Bright White Yellow and emerged in 2017 with the debut single, from the EP - Go released in March 2017.

Corrine Cassels - Divide and Conquer Music Reviews - JAAYN’s voice is clear and melodic with a tone similar to that of Lorde but with the untamed abandon of Bjork. She experiments with different genres and sounds to create a unique sound that is all her own.  Bright White Yellow is a really, really, really cool album. I loved everything about Bright White Yellow; the concept, the production, the vocals, the vibe and the art of it all.  JAAYNS is a smart, talented musician and I can’t wait for more

NIKKI POPE

NIKKI POPE is a british born singer living in New York City.

The self released debut EP "Electric Energy" by Nikki Pope hit the ground running with several airplays on BBC radio stations in the UK and also on the prestigous radio network Sirius XM in the USA.

Nikki Pope is currently in production for her new album to be released later this year.

Katherine Evans

Katherine Evans is a 22-year old singer/songwriter from Hartsdale, New York. She just graduated from The University of Miami’s Frost School of Music with a degree in Music business and a minor in songwriting.

Katherine deeply appreciates every genre and has dabbled in just about all of them.  Her first year at Frost, she was a jazz voice major.  By second semester, she discovered her love for songwriting and decided to switch into the Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music program.  She then joined Big City Folk Band, playing fiddle and writing eerie folk songs with great friends.

Madison Malone

Madison Malone is stepping out of her artistic shell to release songs that use the light to recognize the dark. Her new music is the beauty created beneath the destruction.

Raised in a small farm town in south-central Wisconsin, Madison was an anomaly in her blue collar city. She started sneaking into rural dive bars at the age of 15 to play cover music for patrons until 2 am, paid only in pizza & tips. She spent the next seven years building a following in the Midwest, gigging in restaurants, around the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, clubs, bars, banquet halls, four to six times a week just to pay the bills & get her voice heard.

November Music Showcase: Marbin Review

About a year ago, I met and interviewed the band Marbin, a high-energy Rock/Jazz hybrid that had impressed me with songs like, 'African Shabtay' and 'Redline' on their social media/YouTube video campaign the year before. Since my first Marbin show, I have been lucky enough to see them three more times and we have become fast friends; sharing many musical interests and debating the ins-and-outs of the music industry on various occasions.

As musicians, Marbin is growing exponentially; each member giving it they’re all on stage, every night, traveling the county and the world. Their musical influences and growth can be heard in their most recent compositions, which lean more into psychedelic and ballad like movements; leaving more room for improvisation and modulation within live performances. Marbin is constantly evolving, adding new intros, outros and transitions into their already solid repertoire.

Their newest unreleased album titled, "Israeli Jazz" seems to have woken more creativity inside this band, as they play these new songs with a raw and driving intensity. 'Israeli Jazz' the title track from the newest album, is hard and transient, smooth and razor sharp. I look forward to hearing the entire album and doing a full review when it is completed.

Dani Rabin shows exceptional guitar skills, on par, if not greater than, many guitarists in the progressive Jazz and Jam scene. Dani is always growing and expanding his musical education, incorporating those Gypsy Jazz scales he loves so much, into the music he constantly creates. Danny Markovitch is the backbone of this group and although he stands to the side during solos, he is always solemnly contemplating what comes next and critically evaluating every note. Jon Nadel is the perfect bass player for this band and although, he isn't an original member, he keeps both Danny and Dani in check while bringing a masterful bass technique and skill on his fret-to-fretless bass guitar. The heartbeat of Marbin is drummer Blake Jiracek, who is always in his own world, tirelessly keeping up with the other members and pushing the rhythmic structure further and further.

While Marbin, hasn't reached the peak of their success, little by little, they are gaining attention and amassing a loyal following just waiting for them to explode on to the scene but which scene? Finding that direction is highly important to what Marbin could become in the future. I am sure that they will succeed in any musical route/niche they decide to pursue and I will be along for the ride.

I am looking forward to another Marbin performance in Harrisonburg, Virginia on April 4 at the Golden Pony. If you live in or around the area, feel free to contact me and we can meet up! If not, check this band out when they come to you locally, I am always truly blown away.
