Anchored by four lifelong friends, The Honest Heart Collective was born from brothers Ryan and Nic MacDonald, a moment at a Bruce Springsteen concert, and a rotating cast of musicians made permanent. Buoyed by the backdrop of their Northern Ontario roots, the band’s debut LP tells a story of longing, deceit, and new beginnings. Armed with the self-built Lionheart Studios, a blue-collar mentality, and 170+ shows later, The Honest Heart Collective have wrapped up a new collection of songs with producer Derek Hoffman (The Flatliners, Silverstein, The Elwins). The band's old soul take of heart-on-sleeves storytelling through music is evident in their songwriting. Grief Rights was released in May 2018 and it's sound has been described as "classic American heartland sensibilities [colliding] head-on with '90s emo-rock touches".
